Christy's Story
I know this will be hard to believe, but I am probably one of the few of us that never married. Sometimes I feel as if it has been a smart move and other times I have regrets. As a child I always dreamed of being a wife and mommy, but it is now obvious to me that was not the plan. Marriage now is certainly something I would welcome if the right opportunity presents itself, but if not, that is fine too.
I went to UGA after graduating for a short while. I absolutely hated studying (as I had in high school) and I was one of those that definitely had to study to make respectable grades. I was much more interested in having fun and enjoying the freedom of living away from home so studying was low on my priority list at UGA. I eventually came home and began working.
I have been in the car business for 27 years. It's one of those businesses that kinda "gets in ...Expand for more
your blood" and it's hard to leave. I have worked in 2 luxury car dealerships in the Atlanta area and am currently working in a Mercedes Benz dealership, where I have been for 8 years. I love my job as Business Development Manager and can say it is fullfilling and one where I'm never bored.
My father is living with me now. He is 92 years old and in excellent health. He has all his mental facalties and I'm so grateful for that. He has been with me for 3 years and I will say it has had its ups and downs, but I am so grateful to have this opportunity to spend these special years with him. He is truly an amazing man!
This is not like me to share information on-line, but I would like to reconnect with friends from high school and also possibly connect with some of the people I never got to know in high school. I am hoping this will be a way to do just that.
